The reason skeptics won't read the rest of your post is that they don't want to know, don't want to change their habits, don't want to live with the fear that I do-that we are irreversibly changing our planet and endangering generations to come. Something must be done. The US Congress, yes the country that currently produces the most CO2 emissions, is considering a monumental energy bill. The bill, if passed in its entirety, will include a 35 mpg fuel standard by 2020 and a standard that 15% or electricity come from renewable energy by 2020. This bill, in itself, will not solve the problem of global warming, however they are the largest steps the US has taken so far, and hugely important to putting America on the right track and Americans in the right mindset.
